Do you need a fire protection system designed or installed?
Wet Pipe Systems: Wet pipe systems are the most common fire sprinkler system. When a sprinkler activates due to high heat water is immediately discharged onto the fire.
Dry Pipe Systems: A dry pipe sprinkler system is one in which pipes are filled with pressurized air or nitrogen, rather than water. These systems are used in areas where water in pipes can freeze. Typical installations include: unheated warehouses and attics, outside exposed loading docks and within commercial freezers. A majority of new apartment construction in Missoula has underground parking which requires the dry pipe systems. Deluge: Deluge systems are activated by smoke or heat detectors, deluge equipment releases a dousing flood of water or foam in an instant through an open-sprinkler, nozzle, or foam generator, utilizing an unpressurized piping system. Deluge systems are used in places that are considered high hazard areas such as power plants, aircraft hangars and chemical storage or processing facilities. Pre-Action System: This is where water is only discharged if active by heat or smoke detection or both. It is the safest system for use in: server rooms, file rooms, and areas with irreplaceable files or merchandise. |
